We had many positive comments about our ceremony and I absolutely loved how it was original and unique to us. The mood of the whole ceremony was so romantic and everything I hoped for! Thanks again Suzanne, it was a pleasure working with you!” – L & C
If you want something extraordinary you have come to the right place.
Custom ceremony design, writing, storytelling and ceremonial speaking are my specialties. This is my profession and I put my heart and soul into it. I adhere to a strict Code of Ethics laid out by the Celebrant Foundation & Institute.
Your ceremony will be unlike any other and people will be talking about it for a long time to come. My weddings are written and designed exclusively for you. I never use a template and design the ceremony in its entirety. You will choose exactly what you want, including the length of our ceremonial time together. Sometimes it is a touch longer than most, but no one will be thinking about time, they will be focused on you.
You will definitely get your money’s worth, and you and your guests will remember your ceremony long after the day is over.
How does it work?
After your initial contact we will set up a time to chat on the phone. I ask questions and so do you. It is a time for us to talk about your vision for your ceremony, and for your day, and I make some recommendations or offer some ideas.
As soon as we get off the phone I send you a document with the ceremony packages I offer, with prices. That way I don’t put you on the spot on the phone. The two of you can sit down and discuss it in private.
You might decide to book right away and you let me know (we work out the details – quotation, contract, initial payment which is all done online), and then I officially book your date. Or, you may feel you want to meet in person before making a choice, and that is fine too. Meetings are no-obligation. We get together and get to know each other a bit. Then you decide what to do, either there with me, or after you have a chance to speak privately. Once you’ve made your decision we can go through the set-up process.
Then we plan a full meeting to talk about the delicious details of your wedding ceremony! If you don’t live in the area this might take place on-screen, or we find a halfway point to get together.
Then I get each of you busy with your “homework” and you get to gush.
When it’s time to write your ceremony, I let you know that we are full speed ahead. I collect all the details and handcraft your ceremony from scratch and after sending you the drafts you get to tell me your revisions. This relaxed, friendly, creative back-and-forth process, mostly by email, will go on until you are 100% pleased with what I have co-created with you. It is fun. You will like it!
When your wedding gets closer and we’re all set with the ceremony script, I get in touch with other service providers with some details. Maybe you are having a rehearsal, or maybe not. It’s all about what you want.
The next thing you know we are standing together and you’re getting married! I look after all the legal parts, so no worries. Everything will fall into place.
Then, off you go into your happily ever after!

How long is a ceremony?
You will choose exactly what you want, including the duration. Sometimes it is a touch longer than most, but no one will be thinking about time, they will be focused on you.
The pandemic brought many surprises and challenges to every corner of the globe. Weddings certainly felt the pinch! It was during this time that I developed short ceremonies for teeny gatherings. They are heartfelt, personal, and just the right size to get you married with love, joy and ample appreciation for the phrase, “less is more.” As Ontario opens up again I’m sure large weddings will return, but, I have to say, these wee weddings sure have big appeal!
You will definitely get your money’s worth, and you and your guests will remember your ceremony long after the day is over.
Where do you perform ceremonies?
Specifically my service area includes Owen Sound and throughout the region including Annan, Collingwood, Durham, Flesherton, Hanover, Hepworth, Kincardine, Meaford, Markdale, Port Elgin, Sauble Beach, Saugeen Shores, Southampton, The Blue Mountains, Thornbury, Tobermory, Walkerton, Walters Falls and Wiarton.
I have wed happy couples on beaches, by lakes, rivers, streams and waterfalls, in forests, on farms, in backyards, on top of Blue Mountain, on tour boats, by fireplaces, in kitchens, at cottages, at golf clubs, resorts, restaurants and ski clubs and more. If there is a place that is special to you then it is special to me too, and we will work together to create the ceremony you dream of in that spot.

Do you believe your ceremony should be the heart of your wedding?
Custom Wedding Ceremonies cost more than template ceremonies. You can buy a dress off the rack and it can look good, but, if you hire a designer to make a dress for you it will suit you to a T. It will be exactly, precisely right in cut, colour, texture and fit. A custom ceremony compares to that – made for you. What could be better?
Let’s talk about my Couples packages. Longer custom ceremonies start in the $700s. Short & Sweet and basic nuptials are less. Contact me.
A client said that the custom ceremony is worth every penny, and I believe she is right. It IS your marriage ceremony!
If you are an early bird and you book well ahead of time we will set up a payment plan that begins when we sign the contract. Otherwise a 50% non-refundable payment is required to hold your date.
How far ahead should I book?
Will your wedding be on a Saturday afternoon or evening between May 15th and October 15th? Those dates fill quickly, so please book early. It is best to contact me as soon as you have chosen a date so that we can mark our calendars.
Do you attend the rehersal dinner or reception?
What about winter weddings?
Winter in our area is harsh. You can never tell if your plans will happen. So, no outdoor or out-of-town weddings please! It is just too risky.
